I don't usually review standard poly flights but as these 150 micron flights came out not long ago I thought it might be good to do a little review and compare them to the 75 and 100 and also a fixed rigid flight.
I am sure a lot of people like the idea of a more rigid flight like say the Cosmo's or the Harrows Clic or L Flights but may not like the price so for a fraction of the price the 150 micron are a great alternative and worth a try, they cost less than 50p a set.
First I wanted to weigh the flights to compare the difference, here is the results:
75 Micron:

The weight of the 150 Micron is very close to the weight of the Clic flight but I don't really think the weight is hugely different from the 75 micron but I am sure that it will still have some affect regarding the aerodynamics of the dart in flight but may be less than what people imagine it would be Guests cannot see images in the messages. The 150 micron compares very well with the Clic flight for having a nice 90 degree shape and may even be better?
I set one of each flight on my Retro Pin Up darts and I used them for about 12 days, may be a total of 6 or 7 hours playing time:

As you all know I am not the greatest darts player so the condition of the flights would be worse with a more accurate player who is getting better groupings but I did have some big impacts. The worse impact was against the 150 micron flights which took a bit of a nick out of them but overall they have all performed very well and still have lots of life in them.
The 150 micron flights are very strong and hold their shape very well but as most people may know they are less flexible so a deflection can be more likely.
I don't know if its just coincidence or if they actually worked better for me but I seemed to hit more T20's with the dart that had the 150 micron flights fitted. It could be that the little extra weight is adding a bit more drag which is helping to correct some inaccuracy in my flight, I don't really know, I think I need to use them over a longer period to really be sure.
I think if you want to experiment with a more rigid flight then these are a great way to do that, and its a cheap enough experiment to try. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
