4 main things to consider here
lighting - probably the biggest difference maker here , nice strong light near enough to board ,but not near enough to cast big ass shadows, me myself i have i lightbulb holder that has a clamp and extension lead on it. i have this on ceiling aiming down at board at 4 foot away diagonal from bull. others have a vast arrangements of lighting from poor to excellent . i'd say spend more money on your lighting than webcam . i plan to steal Cy's set up and use that at home . if anyone has played him online you'll see with absolute clarity Cy's blade 4 . he has a homemade lightbox with a florescent tube inside and it's like watching in HD , if you have the know how, time and resources go this way
webcam - more expensive doesn't mean better , higher resolution is not the way to go here . you need to consider how fast your PC is. i'd say something like the logitech c270 i have is middle ground , works well and doesn't eat up your CPU's needs
internet speed , now this i can't help too much with , as i have no idea what is good . i myself have "superfast 120mb per second fibre optic" only problem with that is is thats it's a load of nonsense and i get about 20mb/s . that still is fast but during some periods it does lag and i have to hunt around my flat for the wife and children to see who is on netflix , youtube , facebook etc. usually it's all these things at once , so consider either waiting till they are all off these things , or putting the kids up for adoptions and selling your wife.
4th is mounting - now this really depends on where you board is , if you have constant access to it , if you share the room etc.
easiest option is if your board is in the corner of a room (90 degrees not 45 like mine, i don't live in a triangle i have i weird cupboard) get an L shaped bracket mount it on the other wall and point it at your board , easy! if your board is nearer the middle of the room and you have low enough ceilings then mount on there. or consider a camera tripod , perfect if you have to pack away at the end of a session . i got one a few years back form Asda for a tenner so look out there. do not worry about how you do this as i have found out many of us just hash things together , my bracket for instance isn't screwed to the door frame ,it's just got 2 brass darts hammered into it as i couldn't be arsed charging the cordless, the 3rd brass dart holds the cupboard closed and i have a long cardboard tube sellotaped to the bracket with the camera tied on at the end with a broken ipad charger cable (which i have loads of due to the kids thinking that the best way to charge one is to use it at the same time as charging and sit as far away as possible from socket while doing somersaults)
that's it . apart from sign up to webcam darts and pro-darter then your golden ponyboy
