Is it sub consious or nerves? on a number of occasions, I have hit treble twenty with two darts, then I pull/push the third dart into the 5/12 or 1/18 even on shots that are not that monumental, like Flight school practice miss the singel bed by the width of a dart, then the second dart dead center, then I think, ok this one has to go !! bam push/pull two numbers over. Any ideas, has anyone experianced this before? how did you cure it? is there a cure? I magine I can answer my own question, more practice, but Im hoping to find Im not alone.
is it the YIPS!

think it could just be a bit of the old heart bumping up a notch or two knowing your going for a maximum . next time try going for t19 or bull after you get the 2 in there . get your mind of it and then go back to the ton80s . darts plays with your head almost as much as a woman , treat it the same - ignore it ,take a beer then carry on with what you were doing .

every one pulls darts well i do anyway lost count of the no of times i hit the treb 12 with my first dart lol that said have corrected myself on 2 and 3 dart so i have hit scores 116 76 and the odd 156 and i take any of them scores every day of the week
Try not to think about the last dart, just throw it. The more you think about it, the less likely you are to hit it.
Just relax, it will become second nature as time goes by.
I do it all the time, its because I think too much on the third dart instead of just throwing it.

i catch myself leaning too far and hurrying to pull darts on my third...like i'm in a hurry, i throw relaxed and then that third is like gotta go gotta go...it will work it self out with practice

I take it you have not hit very many 180's by the sounds of this my friend as it appears it is a big deal to you. Try not to think of it as a 180 and just aim to put the 3rd dart as close to the 1st two by aiming for them. When you have hit plenty of them to be fair the third one goes in more often than not as it just follows the other 2 darts but that will come with experience.
