Grip
The main ring grips extend 3/4 of the way up the barrel.
I am crazy about the grip on these!
The level 3 grip on these are fantastic: widely spaced and deep!
Grippy enough that darts won't slip out of your hands but won't spoil you like Purist does.
Near the end of the barrels are more closely spaced ring grips however they are a bit shallow.
If you are looking better rear grip, the Adrian Lewis darts would be more suitable for you.

Flight Characteristics
These darts are way better than the Unicorn Gary Anderson Phase 1.
There! I said it!
Very easy to control because of the shorter length (less moment of inertia) and generous grip.
These Colin Lloyd darts are the only darts I feel comfortable throwing with pears flights (medium nylon).
The only thing that really annoys me is the fact that Target packs them with 30mm points.
For real? Please pack your darts with 35mm points like Unicorn!

Would I recommend?
If you are looking for a set of darts for your friends who are starting, this is it.
For beginners: The Colin Lloyd is a very good set of even balanced darts that are not generic and available at a good price point.
If you are looking for back to basic darts, this is it.
For match darts: As a workhorse, I definitely recommend this. Easy to throw!
For collectors: Not for collection; You are better off chasing a nearly identical set of Adrian Lewis.
