I guess there would be a thread on this, but it might be buried down somewhat hence this new thread, which is a bit different than a review.
As some have opined, flights kept on falling out of the Gripper 3s without being punched.
I think I may have discovered a way to secure flights without extra expense, punching etc.
Like many, I inserted the flights all the way in, and they kept falling out. Notice the slot below the spring.

I initially got really frustrated, but decided to tinker about it for a bit before tossing the whole lot, and I found that by pushing down the spring past the slots, inserting the flights all the way in, keeping one finger on the top of the flight while pushing the spring back to the base of the flight secured it very well! The photos will do the explaining. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

After doing this, I can hold the dart by the flights only, and shake it up and down without the flight coming loose. Of course, do it hard enough and it will come out, just like bounce outs to a concrete floor will dislodge the flight.
Now I still have to get rid of my Gripper 3s Short, not because they keep losing flights, but I discovered I prefer Medium shafts, and preferable metal! Lol! :dodgy:
Hope this helps. Not sure if something like this has been posted before ...
