Cuesoul

Guys I think that I am in a slump.
Here are the facts. Before sunday I hadnt played darts for a month. These last days I have been aiming at the 20's the whole time for 4 hours every day, and I couldnt hit the 20s, many times I hit the 1,5 or even 12 and 18, and today things got worse I couldnt drow back properly, releash the dart properly or consistently (I felt like I couldnt even lift my arm, let alone to the draw back and releash), I could find any tolerable position at the oche, I couldnt do the wrist thing and I felt I dint do a follow through some times. Guess what I had a tourney tonight and things got worse, my scoring was 7 10, 17 21. My average was 35. I lost 2-0 of course. I trembled I couldnt do anything, there was simply no groove at all.
Now lets see what I can do to fix this, my thoughts are to go back to the A1 from flightschool, shoot the 20's and focus on finding my groove again. Lastly I think is a good idea to play with one set exclusively. I am waiting for your thoughts, remarks or questions... I am very ssad. If this is not a slump I do not know what is...

First off, I think a lot of people are correct in the thinking of never admitting you're in a slump as that's part of the problem. Darts is a game of ups and downs. With that being said, anytime i start to feel bad about my game I remind myself that I am at least able to play it virtually pain free. There would be a lot of people on the earth that would kill just to be able to throw a dart with out pain and here I am feeling sorry for myself because of my score.

Going back to the basics is a good start Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. I tend to do worse when I'm not enjoying the game.

I believe I am having a similar problem. I think the more I will play the better things will get. I have had a lot of distractions these past few months so that doesn't help. You will get it back I am sure. The more you over think and try to "fix" things the worse it gets. Just shoot to have fun and it will all come back.

The only thing worse than that is lighting up the board at home and falling flat on your face when $ is on the line. It happens.

Even Phil Taylor has been there before. Why worry? You're in good company.
