this will not be much of a review not near the standard of others on here anyway for a couple of reasons . one being i can't find the lead for my camera and don't have a CF card reader , so no camera pics just on my phone , two i'm suffering from a combination on swine/bird/bovine/man/shark flu (not a cold at all - proper flu lol) and finally i'd never be able to do a review like the others ,just don't have the patience.
anyway with the way soft tip is going more and more people are curious about it and wanting to have a go ,though the light weight nature of the darts puts many off. it's good to see manufactures bringing out heavier weights and that is what winmau have done here. the navigator heavyweights come in at 21,23 and 25 gram. i have just received the 23 and 25 gram models. i got these as when my kids play i only let them play soft tip at the moment (on a winmau blade 4) the reason for this is if a bounce out happens with a soft tip it tends to just fall to the floor where as a steel tip keeps most of the energy and comes flying back at unpredictable angles , distance and speed. with lighter darts though they have a bit of trouble getting the darts to higher areas of the board and i fell they extra inertia of a heavier dart will help them.

the 25g version weigh 22.6g barrel only (23.7g with target titanium points) and are approx 55mm long with a diameter of just under 6mm they have a bristows like grip at the rear and middle and i fine ring grip at the front ,of course this can be reversed by putting the point in the other end.
the 23g version weigh 20.8 barrel only (21.9g with target titanium points) and are approx 43mm long with the widest diameter being just under 8mm . they have a simple 3 ring grip at the back , a 2 ring grip in the middle which is almost a shark grip though not as aggressive and a shallow ring grip at the front the rings being of 3 different widths and again this can simple be reversed.
both sets have black and red painted rings at the rear and a winmau w logo laser etched in the middle of the barrel they come in the typical winmau packaging of clear plastic containing a slim line black case and including flights and ally stems , the flights in both cases are the tomahawks.
these are the 3rd and 4th sets of winmau darts i've had this week and all have been of great quality. i have got ton machine 2 24g all of which were 24.1g also navigator 2 26g of which 2 were 26.1g and the other 26.2g these 2 sets follow on in the same fashion of being with 0.1 gram of each other . my scales only go 1 decimal place so i can't be more accurate than that.
if you want to know anything else just ask
