[Advise] Repointer Loose Thread Fix
Is there a way that I can still have this repointer work? Loose thread on the white area (Teflon Tape). Even for the last time.

It "loosens up" when trying to pull/push a point.

It gave up while trying to replace the point in Cankles' Barneys. Yes, I know he should also pay for the damage!

Thanks for any advise!

looks like the threaded shaft is stripped, you can try a rethread to see if that works. If the section where the shaft screws into is stripped as well you can try a thread repair kit. But if both are stripped you are pretty much screwed (pun intended).

Lol!

I just finished repointing 2 of 3 that's why I'm very eager to find a solution to this for the last dart.

Yes, really got screwed on this. Thanks uncle poop!

If it is only the thread on the main bolt that is worn out you should be able to buy a bolt, the right size Allen key for the bolt head and some thread-lock for the nut that fits into the moving section from any decent engineering building material retailer. Here in the UK i could sort this in an hour mate.

To be honest, even if I get the parts, I don't know how to "re-place" them. I'm even figuring out how to take the fly off with the basic car tools that I have. Thanks so much ChrisTheFish. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Edgar come on use some of your I CAN DO. Print off the picture of the Desinga level 3 repointer on DC, then take the picture and your repointer to a
local engineering shop and ask them to make the repair. You could even pay them in darts!

Take it to almost any mechanic shop, either the large nut or the large threaded portion (bolt) is stripped), for any shop that is an easy fix.
You don't mess with The Voice of Reason. You have the right to be wrong.

Buy a new one and save old for parts

22/24 Gram, just got 24 Gram Bavaria SG and gold Bristow's, 62 mm barrels coming from Cankles and 67 mm brass ringed barrels from ebay.
Hoping for reprinted Bristow flights using flight designer from RD
24 Gram Revolution Rebel's from Magic Mike at Infinity Darts.
So many darts so little time.

That'd be like you trying to pay someone in baseballs :-)
26's so far this year: I've already lost count. :-)

Any luck fixing it yet?

Machine shops are closed. Labor day today! I can't even take off the main bolt.

To take the main bolt out, you have to drill out the little pin that goes through that big nut. Then it should be very easy to replace as long as the bar on top is not stripped. If it is only the bolt you should be able to find a replacement at Home Depot probably with a hex head so it will be even easier to change points using a rachet.
