I just hung up my new Blade4 board. I was throwing my soft tips at the board. I noticed the whole tip was getting burried into the board. I throw a 18gram dart with standard lip points. Im not throwing any harder than I would on my soft tip board. Is this normal for this board? This is my first real steel tip board and am not sure what to expect with it.
Thanks!

Most of my darts go all the way in the blade4 (steel tip)
Play like it means nothing when it means everything

I expected it with my steel tips, but was surprised for some reason when it happened with the soft tips. Maybe because the diameter of the tip is wider and gets thicker towards the barrel, and the tip more blunt?

Do you have the new Blade 4 Dual Core? If so that could be the reason. It has a softer outer layer.
Wow you guys bury your darts. Makes me think I throw too soft I only get a point buried halfway up the point.

My Blade 4 (non dual core) is pretty soft. I have one set of very old, heavy darts with very short points, and they not only bury to the hilt, the fronts of the barrels hit the board hard enough to make a tiny dent. So those darts are getting new points.
26's so far this year: I've already lost count. :-)
