very happy with my L-flights I use only on my soft tip darts
but have tried 4 sets (2 styles) of shafts made by L-style (caps came with the shafts , and laro shafts 5$ and 6$ for a set of shafts
they popcorn and fall off like crazy
I gave up and glued them in place
I got a new set of L- flights( color change)
tried a set of free deflectagrip shafts and once or twice a flight has come loose out of 1000 throws
so what shafts are you using with l-flights?
I have used pro grip and super grip shafts with my steel darts and fold able flights.
you count 180's
i'm counting money

I think Laro shafts because of the plastic used are a little slippy compared to standard nylon shafts. Never tried any l style shafts though.

As I was reading this thread, my Laro shaft broke while I was replacing my flights. It turned brittle already probably because of the heat. they are $7 a set. Probably wise to invest in carbon shafts. I put Elmer's glue in the shell cap on to my shafts. Champagne caps are small and works well with no other shafts but L-Style stems.

The carbon one are a bit pricy at 18 dollars. But it has been a one time investment if ya like the L-Series.

I don't have any problems with the champagne caps, yea they pop off once in awhile but rarely. The carbon shafts do hold a lot better, and the joker driver carbon shafts hold a lot better than the Carbon L shaft. I have noticed that the metal caps with the regular L shafts seem to pop off more than the plastic caps. That's been my experience anyway

With the regular deflectagrip stems (or any other standard nylon stem) the flight tends to tear at the prongs of the stem, making them unusable, at least that's what I've had happen a couple of times

I'm tempted to buy some of those Carbon Silent L-shafts. I am a little disappointed that only the top is carbon. I wonder if the top will be replaceable if the shaft breaks at the threads.
