Right There - practice cards
Thought I would share something I use to practice that really help to keep it from getting boring. They are called Right There practice cards. Basically there are two sets; one for cricket, and one for 501. They are decks of cards with specific targets to hit on them. The harder targets are worth more points and easier one less. You can see how many points you can get in a half hour or and hour, how long to get through the whole deck, or play games with them.

When I practice with my sister we put the deck out and flip a card over and shoot for it. It stays there until someone hits it as you switch turns normally. The first one to get it keeps the card and puts it in their pile. When you get through the deck or time set aside you add up the points, highest score wins.

For the cards that say 2 or 3 of a certain number you can hit any combination to add up to that amount. Ie. 3 - 20s, single 20 double 20 or 3 single 20s. But for ones that say double or triple it does not go the other way around it must be the double or triple as specified. I would really like to see an app based on this.

They are actually made in the US. I got them from A-Z darts. I believe Bull's make something similar called Deal A Dart but I have no experience with them.

Good idea - apart from the colours on the top is there any other difference between the two sets? ie why one for cricket and one for 01?

Yes. The main difference is the targets. The cricket only has 15-20 and bull, and the 501 focuses on doubles and high scoring marks.

what do you think about these?

My standard practice now involves shuffling the cards and selecting one. For the next 20-30 minutes I would throw 3-5 times at a particular checkout before moving onto the next one on the card.

After I've finished or the 30 minutes is up, I'll play against the n01 app on my phone, usually best of 11 or first to 11.

May be you could combine the 2 ideas into a new product?
