Hi Jord,
See if you can find a recent post from Milkysunshine it contains a number of hints and practice routines. Going for 180 is ok but of very limited use at a beginner stage, join the 'Flight School' at worst you should do around the clock on doubles and focus on grouping your darts as close as possible. Never fear our ever vigilant (and dear) mod's will read this soon and point you in the right direction. All the Best
I know people will chime in but Flight School is a way to get started on what to do. Also check out the weekly challenges, I use a lot of them for practice. Bob's 27 is my current addiction, I really need to get my doubles better.
I agree with flight school, but playing full games by yourself helps you practice the whole board, your math, high scores, and closing. Play some 501 by yourself or 1001 to practice more high scoring or 301 to practice more closing. It also helps with the math and memorization.

Flight school...Flight school...A1 is STILL my bete noire, but loving it....PLUS the challenges, pick one and go for it...just saying, as a newbie, those work for me....plus bending an ear or two of this bunch of wanna be silver haired hoary, but in some cases, not so hairy, buncha semi "ijicated" nutty fools...got some fortitude in the bunch, cause not one of them headed for the hills at the sight of some of MY "duh" questions...feel free to let fly at 'em....most of them have drivers licenses and everything...but, as a result, I wonder about those folks at the DMV.

Never a true word spoke in jest....+1 for showing restraint and diplomacy in your observations and comments lol!
Hey, but I,m a "nice gurrl" just ask my friends....on second thought........LOL...thanks for the +1, back atcha ya nutz
I definitely suggest the weekly challenges. There are so many great games to keep it interesting while shooting solo.
This is what I do when practicing alone. I'll throw at the 20 wedge for score and do this for 100 darts and keep track of how many of them I hit. Then I'll shoot at doubles around the board. After that, I'll try to see how many darts it takes to get out from 170.
I also have a can with tiles similar to Scrabble tiles with numbers on them from 40 to 100 and I will select a tile and try to get out with 3 darts on the number picked. If I get out, I'll add 1 point. If I don't get out, I'll subtract a point if left on an odd number and a half point if left on an even number. Hopefully, at the end of this, I'm in the positive side of the number by a good margin.
There 's some great advice here...have been filing it away for reference.

I'll second this one, the weekly challenges will keep you busy and you an set yourself goals to get on the lists. Obviously you can only win the current running one but all the others add your scores in and it will be updated to the list Guests cannot see images in the messages. Even if you just do the old challenges for practice, they can help isolate strengths and weaknesses.

Excellent match training and it's free. https://www.nakka.com/soft/n01/index_eng.html If you play Cricket, you should download nScore for Cricket. |
