Do you stand still or move on the Oche?
Curious to see what the preferred method is. I'm not talking about moving because a dart is blocking your target, but rather moving depending on which section you're aiming at.

So, do you stand at the same location no matter if you're aiming at double 6 or double 11? Or do you move to hit each one?

The only time I change my position on the oche is when I need to hit a number that is blocked, if I don't need that number then I will switch.

I move if dart blocked by a dart - otherwise same spot.

I only throw one way: straight ahead. So I have to move.
26's so far this year: I've already lost count. :-)

I plant myself firm in the center at all time unless there is a blocking dart. But even then i hardly move. I just will the dart past the blocker. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I tend to stay in the same spot when throwing, especially if I have a rythym. If I have to hit the left or right sides of the board like for 6 or 11 I will move a little.

I move a bit left or right when going for the more vertical doubles on the sides of the board, or going for 15 or 16 in cricket. Otherwise, I stay in the same spot. I like to throw straight on, and I sometimes feel like im throwing across my body going for the left side of the board if Im not moving just a smidge.

On a related note, how awesome is it when you move way to the side to hit that last bullseye in cricket cause you blocked yourself, and threading the needle to peg it and win? Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I try not to move.

Once I find my mark during warm up I don't move except for a blocked double.

Good question I tend to stay in the same position even if its difficult to hit some shots. Moving to one side has never worked that well for me so if its a finishing double I stay where I am if not I go for a cover shot etc.

My father Merlin, once told me that "You should end up pointing to what you were aiming at when you've released the Dart."
