This is a set of darts in the Shot Ti range, more specifically the Shot 9Ti2 or squared as it has two different coatings, a black Titanium coating and a 24 carat gold coating.
The darts are from Dartswarehouse.com and come in 3 weights 22, 24 and 26 this is the 24 gram model and can be found on their site here: 9ti2 24g
They retail for around £58 (depends on exchange rate) and that includes free world wide delivery. They are a 90% tungsten barrel and although it says on the site description that they are neutral weighted they kind of felt front weighted to me?
One thing that is clear though is that they are a very striking looking dart with the black and gold contrasting nicely and they have a kind of unique design too.
They come in Shot's slimline packaging and are fitted with Laro stems and Shot flights.

As you can see in the above close up the front of the barrel is made up of a very thinly cut micro style grip which is not overly grippy but added with the black Ti coating it still is a very nice feeling grip and I would say its about a medium level. The rear gold coated part of the barrel has a slightly grippier ring style grip.

Balance:
Although it was a little awkward due to the shape to get the balance right I did find they seemed to be more front weighted with nothing attached:

When the supplied shaft and flights were attached the balanced moved almost to the centre but I would still say it was more a front weighted dart:

The grip on the scallop section is really comfortable and the darts sit very nicely into your grip there but when I came to throw the darts I felt it was naturally resting half on the knuckle and half into the scallop, it felt fine to throw from that though Guests cannot see images in the messages. The darts landed in my usual angle in the board:

Conclusion:
Obviously the first thing that strikes me about these darts are the great looks and the unique shape of the barrel. They really are a lovely looking design.
I was not sure how I would take to the shape at first, as although I often find scallop darts comfortable to hold I dont always find them easy to throw. That kind of sounds like a contradiction but its more to do with the fact I find I sometimes catch the knuckle parts as I release the dart. These are no exception when it comes to having that nice comfy feeling of the dart sitting neatly on your grip with the scallop but I found that my grip naturally rested on the knuckle and half into the scallop and it was just as comfy there, but I also felt that the slightly smooth section helped with throwing the dart also as there is a very slight lip just as the black coating ends off the nose.
When throwing the darts I noticed straight away that they had a very steady flight through the air, more stable than what I have noticed on other darts. I usually see some kind of wobble or motion but these were incredibly smooth weighted in flight, I think its down to the shortness of barrel and my front grip, although I can't say it made me any more accurate lol!
The black coating on these combined with that very thinly cut grip has a very nice feel and I think the coating is what enhances that feeling, its not massively grippy but it adds to the feeling of comfort.
I would say that is one thing I like about these darts is that comfy feeling in the fingers, I dont get the same feel from the ringed gold section on the rear though.
Its kind of difficult to say what grip would suit these darts best, I found they were great with my front grip but they could just as easily suit rear grippers who like a short barrel dart, middle grippers may even get along with them too, but its likely your grip will fall on the second smooth section which is sloping but you might just find that gives you something to push against?
If your grip naturally falls in the middle of the scallop then you have a very comfy dart indeed.
I enjoyed throwing these dart, although I think there is some sets I have thrown better, these darts have some great features that make you want to keep playing with them and also they look fantastic!
