Well he was at a play with his parents as a kid. He was restless and would not sit still, so his parents took him and brought him outside, through a side door of the theatre. Well as they exited the theatre they were set upon by a group of alloy stems. The stems were high and looking to score more drugs but needed more cash. They killed Saber's parents in a fit of rage, the scene is too gruesome to post here, we'll just say there were pieces of his parents everywhere. Miraculously little Saber survived, his father in all the commotion pushed him behind a dumpster and the drugged up alloy stems never seen him. It took years for young Saber to recoup from the experience.

Alloy stems are miserable. Constantly bending... never straight. Not able to take a robin hood without serious deformation.

Ive spent waaaaayyyy too much money on metal stems ... be it alloy or carbon (yes, I fell for the carbon shaft thing, my fault).
Ive come to the realization that nylon stems are far superior when all is added up.
I currently use Target Pro Grips and I love 'em! They dont bend when the dart bounces out, unlike ally or carbon shaft, and my wallet has appreciated it.

that was it sadly, Larry was scarred for life but he always keeps a hammer in his pocket as he never knows when he just might bump into an alloy stem.

Hate to admit this.....but I have some aluminium personalised stems but never use them lol. Maybe I should send them Larry to be destroyed.
