As you can see from the pics the barrels have a very thin ring grip. The darts are quite grippy but if you look at the close up pics directly above you can see the edges of the rings are kind of smoothed off so its not as aggressive a grip as it first looks, still a high level grip though. Balance:
The balance with nothing attached to the barrel is very near the centre so its an even weighted and nicely balanced barrel.

With the supplied set up the balance is right in the middle:

My grip with these. I gripped in my normal front grip:

Conclusion:
I think these are the sort of dart that can suit just about all grip positions really. They are not too long a barrel at 50mm and they flew quite well with my front grip but I think they tended to hold their course through the air more which was not so great with my drop in loopy kind of throw but works nice when throwing the dart flatter.
I did try holding the dart closer to the middle and they felt very nicely balanced there but as its not my natural grip I could not throw too well from there, but they should suit any grip whether you like front, middle or rear grip.
The grip on the barrel itself is grippy but not in an aggressive way, its got a nice feel to it and I think when the darts were warmed up a little the Black ti coating was giving the dart a nicer feel in the fingers, kind of like a matt dry feeling.
The darts look kind of sleek and stealthy looking with the Black Ti coating and it does seem to have less glare on the dart from board lighting which is good. Hopefully the coating will provide some toughness to the barrel too as this style of grip can chip from contacts.
Overall they are a very good versatile dart very nicely turned as usual and with a sleek sexy look! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
