Lighting for online darts
I am once again calling on the wisdom of the nutz.

I know lighting plays a key role in Webcam darts. I've been thinking of multiple options and wondering what yall would suggest.

Option 1

Something portable, something I can move to work if need be and play there. Would something like this work?

Option 2
Sometype of track lighting for my back room but with so many options not sure which brand/type of bulb would work the best.

I know there are similar threads about setups but I was wondering about setups with playing online specifically.

I'd appreciate any trial and error findings that yall have made as well as any highly recommended setups. Thanks nutz!

Try a line of LED white lights. It doesn't create heat that will make your board dry and brittle. It's energy saving too.

Will Led lights be bright enough to completely illuminate the board? Which type would you suggest?

LED Tape.

They are cheaper too.

It doesnt create shadow. The lights are very cool in the eyes and are distributed and spreading around the board.

I wish there's a technical guy around to tell you how to mount it like a picture light.

+1 majeek the for the help. The led light is definitely interesting, if I understand correctly they'd go around the board? I think I'm looking for a type of spot light keep the suggestions coming! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Pointing at the board. Then put 5 rows or more strips of LED. They work so great!

Oh I got you, you put them above the board like your 2nd link but make 5 or so rows with them. Hmm... Interesting Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I think track lighting works well if your using it for the home but I also like the idea of the portable lights, I think there is lots of options now with LED lighting as it is much better and stronger than a few years ago and you can get ones that are white like daylight type light. I used a white led bulb myself but it needs a bit more wattage I think.

I want to get an led light with some kind of arm to attach to the backboard of my set up. I would also connect my camera to it as well.

You can clamp your camera on this fixture.

Getagrip - add those LED strips. What we did - we alternately placed lines of gold and white LED tapes. The effect was outstanding. The board isn't too bright but well illuminated.

We had a client in using one of our studios for a photo shoot and they had a bunch of THESE. Excellent dartboard light. Very bright yet diffuse with minimal shadows. Must get a couple.
26's so far this year: I've already lost count. :-)

sounds good, how did you position them to the surround, do you fix them in something for protection?

for a cheaper quick fix I use a b and q bendy clip on light, I clip it to a curtain rail near the board and it does the job. I've seen some lighting that is too bright so wouldn't over kill it, my cam seems to pick up natural light really well so the light is just for my benefit

I find that the long fluro tubes work best for minimal shadows, Spot or track lights throw hideous shadows, worse still if you go put a second one up to get rid of it, guess what, TWO SHADOWS!!!!

I have Been looking at the LED 12v boat lighting (long strip) but didnt know if it will throw many shadows (I didnt think so), but they are very expensive, so thanks for the link magic
