126, I have heard a few ways to go about this. my out chart says t20 t16 d8, was also told t19 t15 d12 is better, would love to hear thoughts
whats the out? 126

Yep. T19 T19 D6 is the target. A single 19 in the mix leaves bull option. If 2 single 19s go for T16
Has to be the 19's option. A way to guarantee that you are still on an out with a single first dart. Stick to the same target for the treble for the Bull with the 3rd dart
I understand that you like t20 better, but a single 20 leaves you with no out. 106 cannot be taken out with 2 darts.
I would only ever go the 20 route if my opponent was in the 300s or more still.
Hoppy its 126 lad, not 128. I think you just did a brain fart. Not to worry though, we all do it Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
As for what way I go, it all depends on what my opponent is on. If he's on a finish then it must be the 19 route, if not then I'll start on the 20's
Just saying the best way is not to get 126 and just leave it on a easier checkout! ;D

There was a post somewhere that said T20 T20 D4..................or maybe I just did a brain fart lol
T18-D17-D19 is a personal favourite Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. (joking)
It's got to be 19's: two darts at what is most players cover shot, with the bonus being a shot at a larger target (D6) if you manage to hit both trebles.
The 19 route can leave you a very easy setup too. If you don't want the bull with your last dart... all you need is a single treble 19, then 2 fairly easy big numbers to leave d20 or d16. While I totally agree on playing your strengths, you also should hedge your bets and know how to play the odds as well. If your opponent is on 52 or less, no matter what skill, you should know your best chance of getting out.
In league on Tuesday, I was scoring the game and my teammates opponent was on 52. He went for 19s because he doesn't understand the game. He ended up leaving himself a 5 and lost even though he was up by over 100 points. (they are a new team with new players.) Brain farts are common in my house. Sometimes it's like my head ate red beans, cabbage and pickled eggs at the same time. |
