Yes, the more I think about it, Fallon should fly back after Australia and skip the NZ Masters IMHO. She's already a chunk behind Lisa in the women's series OOM and if she's skipping a bunch of events then that's a double-whammy. First, she's missing out on the OOM money herself, and second she's not there to stop Lisa and Beau from simply mopping them all up between them.
I know they are using the Women's World Matchplay to determine one of the Grand Slam spots, but I don't know whether that might provide a World Championship spot as well (my guess is, probably not). Obviously if Fallon can win the Matchplay then that does make the NZ Masters at least a somewhat more viable choice.

The fact that Fallon was asked to go to all of them is really annoying. No tour card, not a WC, just won a game or two at a WC so she gets to go everywhere. The PDC is using her for her pretty face. Yes she does throw some damn good darts of the likes of which I never will. That said, I think a lot of us darts fans would love to see Lisa get the opportunity as much if not more. She was a tour card holder, brilliant player. Yet the PDC only wants one female face right now.

Barney has already had enough freebie cash over the last 10 years without actually earning it, so personally I think it's good he hasn't won enough on the OOM to qualify by right.
As for Fallon, personally I don't think she should be there just because she beat a couple of men at Ally Pally, but she got her invite to all this years WSOD events because she was due to play in 2020 and the pandemic hit - so her invites are the PDC basically honouring their previous invites to her. The fact she will probably sell some additional tickets is just a bonus for the PDC.

The WSOD, and to a lesser extent the PL, are essentially exhibition tournaments. The point is to make money by selling tickets to matches the general public will want to see. Therefore, merit isn't the only consideration.

Looks like they didn't bother playing the final of the second qualifier as both finalists would get through anyway either winning it or via the OOM. So the 4 players joining Danny Baggish, Matt Campbell, Jeff Smith and Jules Van Dongen in New York are:
David Cameron - winner qualifier 1
Danny Lauby - runner up qualifier 1
Leonard Gates - finalist qualifier 2
Doug Boehm - finalist qualifier 2
