Cricket with a Twist

We play this down at the Pub and its fun and simple. If you only hit one mark you don't get credit (doesn't count) if you throw a zero you lose a mark. Its called Cricket with a twist and requires you to hit at least 2 marks to get credit.

Sounds like a game to help keep your throw a bit straighter with the penalty. That would not be an easy game if there's only an electronic scoreboard available though. They will let you alter only the last score tallied is my experience with them.

Who determines which number gets a mark taken away if you miss your wedge, or is it last number marked or closed and go backward from there?

Must be real fun if having trouble hitting bulls. And I'm assuming no points involved, just straight close out and continue.

Good one. We play something called Straight Down (20 through 15 and Bull in order, no points). This would be a great variation.

we let the shooter pick the number to subtract from. We do play with points but some times just close out.

Welcome! In my town it's generally called Cricket No Slop. The way Cricket should always be, IMO. When it gets down to bulls, the team that's behind shouldn't be closing numbers by accident.
