This is a review of the Newer model Harrows Fire darts. They are a 90% tungsten dart which have been coated in a Double Exposure Vapour Deposition process 2 two tone coating that is meant to be ultra durable. The tungsten barrels are made from billets that have been made from a super fine tungsten powder that is compressed and sintered at over 3150 C. I dont know what all that means but I think you can get the gist of it that the barrels are pretty tough!
The darts cost £25.49 from Puredarts.co.uk CLICK HERE and are available in 21,23 and 25 grams.
They come in standard slim style pack with a nice red and black fire theme. Inside is the darts fitted with Harrows Black Supergrip medium stems and some nicely style Harrows Marathon black and red Fire standard flights.

As You can see from the pics the darts have a black colour to the barrels that is not fully black but has a kind of two tone affect which to me seems to range from a dark grey to a dark purple type of colour. The nose of the barrels have a nice flame graphic added, I'm not sure how this is added it looks to me as if the PVD coating is place on the barrels while a stencil is in place at the front, which is then removed to leave the natural tungsten showing through as I tried scraping it and noting happened.

The barrels are a decent length, not too long although I think I would prefer a couple of mm's shorter, and they are a straight barrel with tapered nose, the bulk of the grip is concentrated on the rear with a medium level shark grip which is narrow cut but not sharply angled, then there is a few wider spaced shark grip rings in front of the centre which are shallow angled and slightly smoothed off so the grip was only low to medium for me.

Barrels are a touch over and under the 23g mark with the difference between lightest and heaviest been 3.7 tenths of a gram, nothing major really, could be a little better though:

The balance of the barrel with nothing attached is just slightly front of centre so an evenly balanced dart:

With the supplied setup up its pretty much central, possibly slightly above centre:

Balance with my own medium, short and extra short stems and standard flights:

My natural grip with these is just halfway on the smooth and the first razor style rings, but for the video I was gripping it more on the rings, it was ok from there but I kind of wish the grip was a little longer and was closer to the nose:

Darts landed in the board mostly flat with a slight angle:

Conclusion:
These are a very nice quality dart with a nice two tone PVD coating that has a kind of satiny feel to it, it is not overly slippy but could possibly too slippy for some unless your grip is on the rear section where it is grippiest. I quite liked the feel of the coating as it helped me release the dart nice and smoothly which is something I usually struggle with and because I was holding it on the front grip section I had just enough purchase to keep control of it. They flew rather well for me actually and one thing I was surprised with was that they seemed to feel a lot lighter than 23g, so I can only guess that is down to the balance of the dart, which was nice and even. My throw is a bit loopy but these darts seemed to fly quite even and almost flattened out through the air. They may suit people with flat direct throws the best but I think they are worth a try regardless. Just like the Harrows ICE they seem to be of a very hard tungsten quality and are a nice buy at £25.49
Summary Ratings:
