Someone mentioned he had a hinge tattoo on his inside elbow of his throwing arm but they couldn't find any photos.

I managed to zoom in (only on my camera phone... will scan it in later of take a photo with my proper camera) but sure enough, you can make out a Hinge there -

i can confirm tatoo of hinge on his throwing arm, i was working with dave when he won The News of the World championship, just wish i could somehow get back in touch with him

Don't know if Robbo has joined this version of the forum or not - don't know if he (or even the pub) is still there but Dave Lee was the landlord of The Cricketer's Arms in Coxhoe. May be a starting point to trace him
