One80 Renegade R2 Reflex Points
Hi to everyone, I am new here and I have to start of by saying what a great Site for Darts. I cannot find anything better than this site for information, keep up the good work one and all.

I have been playing darts for a long time now but after my second kid was born I took a long break from darts and am just really getting back into darts and literally starting from scratch. I have got a nice Dartboard setup in the cellar, but more Recently been experimanting with darts and setups, I am or should I say a middle grip player, been trying RVB 23g, Whitlock 22g, Priestly 23g, Lewis 18g, Scott Waites 23g, all recently purchased, and still some no name or I cannot remember Darts lying around. So getting to my topic I recently started playing rear grip and was looking for a rear grip dart with a scalop but not to brutal like the one on the Whitlock darts, and I stumbled onto the One80 Renegade R2 darts 22g 90% Tungsten. There was really no information about these darts and no reviews, except from measurements was literally nothing about what Dart Players thought. Well they are quite expensive and I was worried with the lack of information that I could be making a mistake but for some reason I liked the look of the salop being so far back on the barrel and also not being to deep. Well the darts turned up this morning, Delivery was really quick. Sat there for a while admiring the box and then finally took the darts out of the box, the first thing I really liked was the scalop at the back of the barrel, is not to deep and also feels good in the hand, the points of the darts are the new R2 reflex point, which are a bit like powerpoints but when you unscrew the points and see the little rubber ring at the end of the points which go inside the barrel when screwed back together you will understand what I mean by not having any bounce outs, threw the darts for about 3 hours with different set ups, and it did not take long until the first 180, three in total today and loads of high scores, we seem to throw good darts when no one is watching Guests cannot see images in the messages. I have to say I have been really happy with these darts and also the feel of holding them, my best setup was with short shafts and slim flights seem to work better with my throw, but from first glance at the darts and from the first throw I knew I was onto a winner with these darts, almost said to myself well will not need to buy any more darts now that I have found these, but that is the fun of darts, either building up our collections or finding the perfect darts. If you are a rear grip dart player and you can advise me on other super darts please let me know your favorite darts, but for now I can only say if these darts where a lot cheaper then it would be a no brainer go out and buy them, I paid the full price took a gamble and after throwing I am not to upset now about the price, do it give them a go. I will put some pictures up and hopefully it works and you can see them and know what I mean about the scalop.

Welcome to the forum. Thought about moving your thread to our Intro area, but decided to leave as is.  Not too much feedback on the Renegades, although we did have a discussion on the R2 points some time ago:

Thanks for the welcome, newbie here did not see the Intro, but am still learning and clicking on everything, just love the site and wish I found it earlier. Thanks for the link. The Reflex Points are ok, do not seem to have any other shape or form for the one80 darts, but you do get a spare set with them plus the tool to swap them if one breaks. But the barrel was what attracted me to them, just wish they were in 23g, but 22g is working for me....Heard One80 make good quality darts, but being a bit of an oldie, like to stick to the tried and tested, but one80 darts has a new fan now. Pretty old school myself, but a forum review prompted me to get a set of Nighthunter Stings.  Quite different from what I normally throw, but glad I tried the shape.  Cracking little dart, and great bang for the buck:

If you read through the thread, you''ll see a number of members took the plunge.  Our vanJupp should've taken a commission. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

P.S.  If you're looking for dart reviews on the forum, this index thread by manufacturer is what you want to check first.  Sadly, no Renegades:

Welcome to the forum. Nice intro.

If you're looking for other ideas on scalloped darts, then you can use Dart Selector at Darts Corner. Although as I see now, the two types that I wanted suggest at first aren't displayed at all. Unicorn Phase 3 Taylor and Bulls @501.

Here it is.

WOW, Thanks nixer55, look like a really good dart, I like the mini grip at the rear of the dart, will see about trying these out, I think they are a bit on the short side but they look just so good, I think in all black they will be the bomb, these will look good in my collection. Thanks....
