Wobble
Wobble: Almost every beginner's dart wobbles considerably. Pro's and expert's darts hardly ever wobble. Wobbling can have the following reasons:

The dart is accelerated in a curve that's rather anything else than parabolic.
The dart's flight-shaft system doesn't meet the aerodynamic requirements. Use standard form flights and middle length shafts for a first trouble-shooting.
Somewhere in your throw there is a noticable 'yip' of the arm.
Most probable: The dart points downwards somewhere in your throw.
Highly unlikely: The dart points too much upwards.

My darts wobble and I have been playing for years. lol

I went through a phase where they spiraled towards the board like a kick from a punter.

I've noticed a wobble that has calmed down considerably since I've been jonesing to throw darts and have resorted to throwing left handed. It's gotten less pronounced as I continue to play wrong-handed. It was one of the first things that caught my eye when first attempting to toss the darts to the board. When playing right handed, there is no wobble.

I have seen newbies throw and the dart lands side ways then the floor - painful when they have borrowed them from me. I just smile.

I wobble from time to time. I tend to hit a cheek, eye or grab the dart wrong and just throw regardless. I am still learning patience, lol.

My darts were doing a wobble till I made a severe effort to follow through and now they are landing pretty straight. Not as accurate as I'd like but groupings are happening more on a regular basis

I threw a dart yesterday without a flight and it went into the big 5 lol, I caught the flight on my chin and it fell near the oche, so I have no idea how it managed to stick into the board without hitting the floor.

Good info Larry
I am a victim of the point down release and no matter how hard I try I cannot rectify this without sacrificing comfort, It is only slightly downward but I get a up and down kick in my dart (not so much sideways) which I think is the reason why flight shape plays such a big part with my throw. I then saw some slowmo shot's of some of the pro's and noticed a few out there who do the same thing and thought if they can live with it then so can I, Back to comfy throw for me, which I think is the most important aspect of the game.

:Saucey: When I get to wobbling they usually take my car keys and tell me to get out.
