For #5 6 11, it's worth noting that having an account at imgur is not necessary to use it and post pics.

Thanks for that - updated guide.

I've done it by going to the Imgur home page - new post - upload your pic.  Then get the share links by clicking the "..." at the top right of the image when selected.  No idea how long they'll last, so a bit hesitant about that.

If your main concern is privacy - I've never got an email from Imgur.  And you can use a tracking blocking browser like Mozilla's Brave, or similar service.  Tracking cookies concern me more than a throw away email address to be honest.

cheers...

The pics will probably last as long as the service lasts. I've not heard of anyone's pic on Reddit(the site where it was made popular) or elsewhere suddenly disappearing. The downside of not creating an account is that it's unlikely that you'll ever find the pic again to edit it at a later date.

For privacy I use Cookie AutoDelete on FF so that you have full control over which cookies are deleted as soon as you leave the page or which ones to whitelist so that you can keep your preferences and such like

Before we went live with myDropZone, checked into Reddit and Imgur.  They had a commercial API with Imgur that uploaded images automatically - and anonymously.  They later developed their own image storage and API.

Now we have our own - on a smaller scale to be sure.  So our system works the same way.  But as mentioned elsewhere, members are free to insert their own links to their favourite service.

cheers...

Load of pants - I'm trying to reply to someone to help them with a dart they're looking for and it says I can't post because I can't add URL yet I haven't done anything but normal text yet there are URLs in the rest of the forum? I just added a photo of the dart pattern he was looking for and nothing else? What's the crack?

# 1 in the Forum guides:

https://www.dartsnutz.net/forum/thread-40725.html

Despite what the guide says - I can tell you - probably be able to add an URL now.

BTW, many answers can be found in the guides:

https://www.dartsnutz.net/forum/showthre...?tid=33726

That's why it's linked at registration, and in the Forum top links. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Edit: Might be good idea to read # 30 in the Guides too - lol.
