Buy Sell Swap Rules/Guidelines
BUY SELL SWAP RULES/GUIDELINES

50 posts are required to post in Buy, Sell, Swap

Members who wish to partake in darts trading whether it is buying, selling or swapping, do so at their own risk and at their own discretion.

All trades whether done in the BSS section or in private via PM are done at the traders risk, mods and admin of Darts Nutz will not be responsible for bad trades and will only have the option to ban a member that has been deemed a scammer.  The forum teams involvement will go no further than banning said member

It is suggested that new members when swapping darts, send their darts first, but again we leave that at the discretion of the parties involved to agree amongst themselves.

When listing any darts deals in the Trading section, every deal must include a description and a high quality picture of the item being traded and if selling must also include a price required of said item. Stock photos and links to stockists are not permitted

Also, it is helpful if you state your location (UK, US, Aus etc) when listing your items so that members can determine added cost of postage and delivery times.

Nutz Buy Sell Swap Ground rules and Etiquette:
  1. Always, always post pics and pricing or what you will want in trade.  If you don’t, a mod will PM or post in your thread-or both-give you 24 hours to rectify, then close the thread.

  2. Try to send with tracking/insured if possible but If not sending recorded/tracked, then obtain proof of sending and PM or EM a copy of this to the person you are dealing with.

  3. If buying, then use the PayPal Friends and Family option at your peril - in the event of any issues with the trade then there is zero comeback with this option.

  4. ***IMPORTANT *** Posting links or pictures pointing to Ebay or other services not allowed. Such listings will be closed.

  5. **IMPORTANT *** Soliciting sale or trade outside of the BSS section is not allowed.
These Guidelines/Rules may be changed from time to time so check this thread periodically.

Updated to cover posting Ebay and other service links.  This includes pictures pointing at those services.

Bumping this.  Somehow the point doesn't seem clear.

These guidelines were developed after many years with Buy & Sell on this forum.  So if your post disappears - give them a careful read - lol.

Are we able to PM potential buyer a link to private specific ebay listing in relation to the forum post item to be sold to complete the transaction with all the safety and security for both parties that ebay offers? I am willing to sell my collection but rather processed within ebay with delivery and tracking etc and payment logged any info appreciated.

Hardly requires comment, but to make it abundantly clear.

If you list items for sale or swap on here while concurrently listing on ebay - that's not a legitimate ad.  If reported or otherwise disclosed - ad will be closed, at the very least.

Using our Private Message system or mail relay to alert potential buyers of a third party sale is called spamming.  And will be dealt with accordingly.

In general terms, using our infrastructure to support third party transactions isn't permitted.

I was taught if unsure always ask.  Sorry my post didn't seem worthy of a reply or some irritation with spammers etc but I thought I was asking an innocent question of do's and dont's..and thought it was the right thing to do. .. My scenario was if someone asks on this forum for a particular set of darts which I happen to have which randomly happened today in fact,  hence my question,  It would be a sale setup solely and specifically for that member for the item they asked.  Not to facilitate any other item I have to sell or for them to be just another bidder to any item,  maybe I didn't make the scenario clear apologies for that . Also I would be using Ebays infrastructure to facilitate the transaction on behalf of the member on this forum not the other way round,  but totally respect the sites rules. I am not questioning the rules, the rules are the rules. I am not a shop or trader just darts enthusiast with my own collection with the odd bits i'm willing to part with.

Came across a post which covers why we have BSS rules.  Lots of examples like this over the years - this makes a pretty good read:
