Not sure where to look and God knows I've tried so putting it out there and hopefully someone can point me out in the right direction. I want to learn everything about darts. I don't mean the sport but the arrows themselves, the different types of grip, what they do, the shapes and what they do, the Aero dynamics all the different bits of technical data and what they mean. Can anyone help?

Its something I have asked in various threads over the years and I often wonder how they go about designing a shape, is it just for looks or do they have some scientific process to determine the optimum shape etc, I asked a similar question to Simon Hall of Red Dragon as I was curious how they know a shape will be a certain weight and what the process of design was, I was told it was a secret!

I only started taking darts seriously a year ago. Before that I would throw some darts for fun once in a blue moon. I chose my current bullet shape because I liked the look. I now want to invest in a good set of darts and although I do like my bullet style I want to make sure it's the right style for me. I want to have more of an educated guess rather than make a cosmetic decision. I also have straight barrels and various types of shafts and flights but I don't understand why a particular set up works. I want to know why darts do what they do and the different ways to make a dart fly. If you know what I mean...

Thanks for the help. Where it's a good place to go to get custom darts made and how expensive can they be? Any idea?

a good guide that, only they call Razor grip what most would call micro grip, but I think thats because Piranha darts call it Razor grip.
