I've got some of sets of the Jim Pike and Leo Newstead name darts made by Pike, but I'd not seen a set of the third member of the team to have name darts made, John Ross. There was a fourth member of the team, Harry Head, but I don't think he had name darts made. I probably paid over the odds for them, but as I'd never seen them before I decided to get them lol.
I'm guessing Darren has a set somewhere but can't remember seeing them if he has.

Now what I really need is a decent camera to do them justice lol

Nice one Mike, I must have missed those.
I dont have any now but I have had some before but I was desperate to buy some others at the time so did a part exchange with them.
I have seen the odd set come up now and then but they are more rare than the newsteads or pikes for sure.

I know they are rarer than the Pike and Newstead ones as I remember Dr Darts making a comment to that effect on the old site. I paid £64 for them - was that over the odds? I don't mind anyway as I wanted them when I saw them, but I am curious lol

£64 is not too bad, I think the set I had I paid about £48 but were a little more worn than the set you have there.

Nice one. I actually upped my highest offer to £100 as I really wanted them - glad I got them cheaper as I used the savings to get something else lol

Now what I really need is a decent camera to do them justice lol It look like they could have been made to suit the old cane stems when looking at the machined angle at the rear of barrel...or is it an illusion?

My father Merlin, once told me that "You should end up pointing to what you were aiming at when you've released the Dart."

They have got a thread in them - so they could be used for either threaded flights like the ones in the picture, or you could use canes if you preferred

Courtesy of Mr Naylor I just picked up another set of these - but this time with a Johnny Ross wallet, and it also included some gummed flights and a couple of other little extras which aren't in these pics
