Sick of losing? Stop practicing T20!
After I get my arm working I chuck some at T20 and the bull but don't focus on either very long and rather choose the Dbl ring.
Will definitely take this into consideration cause I'm a classic T20 only thrower Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Tangent Darts Customs
I wouldn't say stop practicing, but a lot of lower tier players around here shoot only 19s, and that really bugged me when I was first starting out. Once I swallowed my pride and started to practice them more often myself, my 20s got better too.
Last night before my match I resisted very strongly throwing any warm up darts at the Triple 20. I did the doubles in numerical order, ascending, and allowed only one dart at each double per round. Moving on whether I hit it or not, and coming back to the misses in subsequent rounds. I went from D1 to D20 in the space of about 20 minutes this way and ended the warm up session with a hat trick. I was happy and I felt prepared, despite the slight butterflies I was feeling before the match (which I seem to always feel). Then, during the match, I hit over 3000 points in tonnage, including a 180, two 140's, several 120+'s, and in one game, three back to back to back tons. My scoring did not suffer due to not practicing the triple 20.

Jugger is a genius.
Great post! I have had confidence boosting results from double practice.
Here recently, I've found myself back on the rollercoaster of chasing 20's. After reading the original post and posts of the experiences of fellow Dartsnutz, I am getting off that ride. Time to go back to practicing what really works.
Thanks again!

Superb post. I’ve re read it at least 3 times now.

Unfortunately when I begun playing darts it was at the same time as a mate. He hit the first 180 out of us and it sparked a bit of competition. This meant I found myself sometimes only throwing for the T20 for hours a week just to get 1 up over him. As a result the rest of my game suffered.

The score is now 8-3 in my favour and I’ve started to stop the T20 nonsense and practice by singles and doubles.

linked 8x out to be some kind of record. But, it is good advice from the OP Jugger. I worked long hours on T20 and was finally able to gain 20 in the big pie before realizing what? There are better ways to skin the cat. Thank you Jugger
