darts becoming a bit tedious at them moment for me, only thing keeping me going is trying new gear out , but that costs too much and well there is only so much you can try. as far as darts go i'm pretty much set on the customs i've had made. thinking of adding a few bits to the design and having an updated set made in a month or two.
as far as solo games go i fall into the trap of spending far too much time going for the T20. i do try and counter this by playing the odd game of Bob's 27. though while it's a great game it can be a bit frustrating when you can't get by 16 very often. another thing i do is play on N01 and Nscore ,but TBH i find that a bit tedious too. i have always had problems with concentration span. and have to switch between things every 15 minutes or so. what games have you got that are easy to stick to but are short ! do you add anything to your practice to make it less tedious ?

I can't practice properly at the moment due to my shoulder - about 10-15 minutes here and there basically throwing at the T20 or T19 - but normally my practice lasts approximately an hour and consists of:
5 minutes going for the bull to warm my arm up
5-10 minutes going for the T20
15-20 minutes playing 121
15-20 minutes playing 501 against no1
5-10 minutes going for T20 to warm down
I get bored doing the same routines all the time as well, so to keep things different I'll swap the 121 for round the clock on doubles or trebles, or some other game, and I'll swap the 501 for 301 DIDO or 1001. The last bit on T20's I also swap for 19, 18 or 17.

I tend to fall into the pounding of the 20's, or at least trying to. I think its good to mix it up, I like Mikes routine but I do think if practice is becoming a chore then you should have a few days off really.

I find setting little challenges all the time pulls me through boring patches. I like a few beers during practice so I say you ain't having another swig until you hit X or Y. Similarly I put on a really bad album and say to myself I can only change it if I break a 501 18 darts or something like that. Just silly little games to occupy the mind.

My comment would be an extention of Stealth's post.
Sometimes I'll play N01, level 9 or 10, but I'll make a bet with myself. Either a reward for winning (say best of 19 or 31) or a punishment for losing or even both. There's a lot more motivation then and something to fight for, more like a real game. No boredom.
As always, you have to mix it up a bit. People get tired of even the best things...not going to mention any supermodels or anything. lol
