Step up to the oche
How do you guys do it? Do you get right up to it or do you just make sure you're behind it. I have a line on the floor and when I don't fold down the Oches R Us I just look down to make sure I'm behind it. Usually an inch or two behind.

i've got 2 pieces of brown parcel tape on the floor one for steel one for soft , just make sure i'm behind one , don't pay too much more attention than that, the missus hates the tape so i've let her know about the laser ockey hopefully she'll buy me one lol not something i'd buy myself

I get right up to the line with the edge of my shoe to the edge of the oche, I notice Gary Anderson bends his toes on to the raised oche so he is even closer, the cheat lol

I have a pen mark on the bottom of the wall, never use it, any time I look down always standing in right place, sixth sense!!

I now stand on the far side of the tape laid down as the oche. I used to go to the edge closest to the board but for some reason I am liking being behind the oche. I always check where I am standing once I set up to the board first, I will adjust forward or back once I do.

My friend had a shoe a few sizes bigger than his own glued to where the oche should be, he would slip his own shoe into the big shoe, that way he always stood at the same place and distance.

Mines is 2 1/2 feet block of wood about 4 inches wide and 2-3 inches high. To be honest I never look at the oche, always at my target. As I walk up to it I give it a little kick to feel where it is and then rest my foot against it.

I do look down as mine is just a mark, if I had a raised oche I would probably do the same as Stealth, but I have thought of doing something like Rabs friend but instead of a shoe just draw round my shoe.

So you stand in the same spot regardless of the number you're throwing at? I've seen very good players do that, hitting say T17, T16, T15 in Cricket without moving their feet, but I can't.

I do tend to but I think its best to move if you have to but I was thinking more about when your going for T20's and you want to work on your consistency.
