What is Burst Rating?

Hi all

I'll be playing in my first soft tip tournament this weekend - on the poster it mention a "Burst Rating +3 " Anyone got any idea what this is?

It's to prevent sandbagging. If a player's rating increases by more than the indicated amount in a game, the system will detect it and he/she will lose that game.

Cheers. Does that happen within an individual game of 501 or cricket, or on the rating increase after the game?

So if i was just having one amazing game would it make me lose?

My team lost a 701 leg as the system viewed one of my teammate's average to be too high. Bit rough as he wasn't sandbagging.
