is there any advantage or disadvantage to either?
Acute vs 2BA Tips
|
Acute tips seem to be stronger and don't break as easy! And if you have the Acute Conversion ones...you can use both!!!! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
I agree Trevor, the tips seem stronger. The acute threads put a little more weight at the front of the dart similar to a steel tip
that makes sense.
Im Pondering the Crazy Purchase of these. https://www.edarts.net/so_darts/tiga_acute_fusion.shtml (08-27-2013, 03:47 AM)bullseye69 Wrote: that makes sense. Go for it if you have the $$$, but that would be CRAZY! Just pondering it is crazy. Those fusions will be really front loaded- you have the acute threads up front, and the rear is a lighter titanium. Just a word of caution though, if you are really gonna throw these... the rainbow colors of the titanium can wear off with the handling of the darts. I would just take pictures of them, and put them in a show case if I ever owned them. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
I wouldn't be throwing them all that often. But I read that on their site. As for the front loaded style. I like that on light darts. Gives the Dart a simulated feeling of a heavier dart.
tips will last drastically longer, and dont bend as often.
correct on the fading of the color. my fusion nitro's i noticed the color fade after about 6months, same with my DMC fusions. transition to a front loaded dart (especially a SUPER loaded one like a titanium fusion) can be tough but worth it if you have a "light" throwing stroke. just dont try and force them Guests cannot see images in the messages. There are some brands of 4BA (aka Acute) tips that are horrible. Don't assume that just because it is a 4BA tip, that it will last a long time. There is one brand of 4BA (Acute) tip that will last a very long time. But rather than listen to me, buy the different brands of 4BA tips and test this for yourself.
If you are a steel tip player, you will notice that the weight distribution of a 4BA tip dart feels and throws very much like a steel tip dart. As a hard core steel tip player, I like the 4BA soft tip barrels very much. The DMC TIGA collaboration dart is a nice dart. If you can afford it, go for it and enjoy.
Those Tiga darts are beautiful! think I would just frame them and stick them on the wall Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
Lol if i do break down and make the order ill probably throw them twice and then put them away
Im awaiting the true specs on the swords edge line and all the new darts i just bought to come in and try first. Before spendong a hefty amou t on one set.
