Ok , let's see how people go in the following situation
Situation1
Your playing a very capable player and s/he's just sepup D20. Your on the oche with 3 darts in hand and 30 remaining
Situation 2
playing same player. You also have 30 left but he is on 181.
1. Shoot right at d15.
2.1st dart Look for a mark or hole somewhere close to the outer wire. Thinking it might hit d15 or you'll be super confident o make a adjustment with the next dart or 2.
3. Fire for s10 d10 , hitting the single 10 near the inside wire can be great for accuracy on your 2nd dart.

always D15, if you never try it, you never hit it.

I like D15 so I'd probably go straight for it. If the opponent is not on a finish, I'd try to hit the 6-10 wedge, both singles leave even doubles.

I like the 2-15-10-6 area of the board so my default is straight at the D15, especially if my opponent is on a finish. That said, if they are not on a finish I have been known to go at the 6-10 pie for either D12 or D10.

Yep D15, if I hit a single I would go 3-D6 for my favorite double. When opponent isn't on a finish I'd probably go 6-D12.

D15 as I will miss that and hit single 10, then I go for double 10, hit single 10, then go for D5, and by that time my opponent has won so I don't need to bother going S5, S1, D2, D1 lol Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Why would you not go straight for the D15 irrespective of what your opponent is on?

I'd always go for the D15 if they're on a shot.
If they ain't I'd go for D10. I'm quite good on both anyway. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I would change strategy based on the fact D15 isn't as good a double as say 10, 8 or 12. A miss outside and then one inside ruins your chances of an outshot for that turn and forces you to set up, at minimum, D7 for the next turn or bust it and have 3 more at D15. Splitting it and going 10-D10 or 6-D12, or even 12-D8 gives more darts at a double and if you miss inside on the D8 first dart, you still get one at D4.
Plus I just like D10 more. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
