Dipper Darts D Ball darts review

I seen these a couple of years ago on a Japanese site and was very intrigued by them, so I thought I would get some Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I bought them from Dartsbuddy.com here:
D-Ball

They are meant to be used as a training aid to help get used to the balance and weight of the dart and as a way to relax from been too conscious of your grip etc, as you can really only grip these one way really. I just like the look of them and that is what I wanted them for mainly, but they are fun to throw also. They are basically just a brass coloured ball with soft tip points.

They come nicely packaged though:

As you can see from above they are fitted with one set of point and stems and one set of Dipper Darts flights. These are the Berry version, there is also a white and black version.

Without the flights attached they remind me of something from a sci-fi movie:

Still just as strange looking with the flight on too:

I was surprised when I weighed them, they weighed more than I thought:

I know the weight is on the site, but I never checked that beforehand.

They are almost the same width and length:

My grip with these:

I had a lot of fun throwing these, they feel like throwing a pea at the board and take a while to adjust to with them been so short, but its good fun trying to get them to fly right. I noticed on my first few throws they were spinning a lot through the air, after a few more throws they spun less and less. I am not sure if that is just me getting used to the dart or the darts making me throw better. I don't really care either way as I only ever bought them for the fun factor and they have lived up to that for me. If by playing with them they can also help me throw better then that will be a big plus! Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

I think I will give these a 7 out of 10, a great fun dart that's unique and strange but looks great too.

Also got to say that the shipping from Darts Buddy was very quick and great service from them all round!

P.S. Look out for a special appearance from Rocky in the video Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

These might work for me I never get darts close anyway. At least I could say I have the biggest balls in darts, I mean for darts. A great review yet again grip.

They look like the old Unicorn Dum Dums to me - they are fun to throw

I must be mad - I just ordered a set of these as well along with a set of Eva flights and stems as I've wanted to try those out for a while.

LOL I knew you would get some Mike, they are good fun. Not sure what the points are but had a bounce off another dart and it landed on my hard wooden floor and was still ok, I expected it to snap Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Darts Buddy is quick to ship though and they mark as gift so should be ok regarding customs.

It might save some wear on the old Dum Dums as I have a throw with a set of those now and again - I'll be able to keep those purely for the collection with these ones lol
