Jocky Wilson darts: help please
Hi guys

I'd like to try some Jocky Wilson darts but actually the same kind he used in the 80s. I've had the datadart ghostgrips but they look nothing like the ones he actually played with.

Any help with dimensions and alternatives would be great.

Thanks guys

These are probably the closest you'll find to the original Jocky's, just remove the paint - designa vampire 25 gram:

Does anyone know when Jocky transitioned to his datadart model and whether he actually used anything resembling the current retail model?

In the 89 finals his model resembles the datadart one quite a bit, looks a bit longer though.

I'm sure these were the 80% tungsten Datadart set he used in the 89 final which is why they were a bit longer than the darts you can buy today. When the 90% tungsten sets came out it changed the design of the darts slightly.

Didn't he throw the same darts as Mike Gregory for a while?

Did Jocky ever use knurled darts???

Was watching Legends of Darts: Jocky Wilson and they show footage of darts landing in doubles and the darts have a knurled section tip and bottom!

I thought it may just be doubles footage they used and not actually Jockey?

Any ideas?

Jockey Wilson has 3 darts under the Datadart brand, the Original Grip, Ghost Grip and the dart that you are referring to which I believe is the Sawtooth version.

I am providing a url to where you can view an image. It is on the main datdart UK site and i have made the link non-clickable by inserting "two brackets", so as to avoid any issues regarding promtion of, or linking to, Datadarts UK. https://www.datadart.co.uk/products/dart...rts/jocky/   (I trust this is ok with Admins?)

I do not have any information regarding time lines but if you are truly interested i can certainly gain that information. Just post again and let me know.

Cheers.

I have them in 21g and they are very thin but quite long at 55mm. Here's them without the gold paint (second set from the left):

There's no issues linking to any of the manufacturers or any of the shops (well, apart from one), but what isn't allowed is advertising your own shop unless you are a forum supporting vendor.

Hopefully I've made your link to Datadart clickable in the quoted part of the post above now Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
