I like the finish practice 40 +10/-1 (Start with 40 Points left and three darts in hand. If you take it out you add 10 points otherwise you reduce the score one number down and so on.)
But now i'm "good enough" that i almost everytime get 32/40 left for the outshot.
That is not bad, and i improved my hit rate on D20, D10, D16 and D8 a lot.
But in a game you can not chose, and if i fall down to lower finishes, D4, D6, D9 or crude odd numbers like 5 left i have a disastrous rates :dodgy:
Now i looking for a routine similar to the 40 10/-1 game only for lower numbers. Sure i can do stuff like "Around the clock" or "Bobs27" but these are deadly boring. I looking for something were i have to think and jump around the board and not only hit stupidly one double after the other.

You could apply the same principle but give yourself 6 darts and start on 100 - gives you a bit of practice setting up along with the doubles to help in match senario's

Well, under those circumstances, if beer is "learning juice" I must be the equivalent of Albert Einstein. But I'm thinking the amount of beer I've consumed in my lifetime has rendered most gray matter contained in my cranium inert.
What was the question again????

Do the same type of drill giving yourself 6 darts but the caveat that you have to finish with 2 doubles in this way your more likely to get down to lower and less frequently shot at doubles.

You mean instead of D16 i have to take the D7 D9 route?
Interesting idea.

Hit a double, take a crisp. Ha ha. Troll, you are consistently the funniest guy around. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. Learning juice and crisps, breakfast of champions.
I can't give any advice, I suck at 01. I do know that the consequences of missing into the single favors the even numbers. It seems to me that all doubles should be equally easy to hit. But alas, this is not true for me either. The most favored tops gives me the most grief. And I ain't too keen on D3 either. I actually do best on D13. I don't set up for that, but is my goto for double in. I have yet to score on Bob's 27. I made it to the bull once, but busted there. Saber's Doubles and Bull routine make doubles practice a little less boring by adding in bulls. I enjoy that routine.

Nothing interesting about it. I do that regularly in big game situations when needing D-16. Land the first dart in D-7 and need the D-9 for the win. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. Routine stuff really.
