Viper X-Treme correct voltage? 5V or 9V?
Sad
Hello,
So I bought a Viper X-Treme dartboard. It won't respond (looks dead) with a 5V, 500mA power supply.
On the outside of the box it says 5V, 500mA power supply included.
Inside the box it came with a 9V, 500mA power supply.
The manual says 5V, 500mA power supply.
The sticker next to the plug on the board says 5V, 500mA.
So I bought a 5V, 500mA supply and the BOARD DOES NOT WORK. I could use the 9V power supply that was in the box, but I don't want to fry the board.
So, please tell me WHAT POWER DOES THE BOARD REALLY NEED??!?! I am after anyone who actually has this board if they can please look at their power supply and tell me the output of it and what the sticker next to where you plug it into the board says.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Simon

I would contact the manufacturer directly. GLD products.

Note that in this page, the accessories supplied is a AC adapter (#42-9993, 9V 500MA, positive to negative) https://www.gldproducts.com/index.php/da...etail.html

In Aust, your mains power supply is 230V, whereas the board, if in it's original state, should be using 110V (Pg #12, paragraph #1 of the manual - https://www.gldproducts.com/images/Manua...-31-15.pdf), you might need a converter for the mains power supply.

And welcome to DNF forum mate! :-)

Thankyou for the Welcome. Yeah I found that as well. I have emailed GLD but it is the weekend and I have friends coming around in a couple of hours! This is why I was after a few people who actually own the dart board currently so I could get some answers soon rather than Monday! Guests cannot see images in the messages. I don't own the dartboard, and have no experience or knowledge using it, but the power supply is already incorrect, so I would think nothing would work anyways mate ...
