Need Recommendations - SLIM Nylon or Plastic Shafts
Apologies. Longish story as I don't want you guys to wreck your brains and also make wrong recommendations. :-)

I finally realized, after all the years, that a slim shaft suits my style more than a standard with most of my darts. I rest part of my grip fingers along the shoulder, and part of the stem. For the anatomically-inclined, I rest the inner/side portion of flesh of my Proximal Phalanx right at those points  of the shaft mentioned.

Can anyone recommend me, a plastic/nylon shaft that has a similar profile like the L-Style Slim Shafts featured in the photos below? Preferably affordable like the nylons or polycarbs aka Deflectagrips (10 - 20p), regular bubble polycarbs (20-40p) etc. Definitely below 1 GBP.

I am avoiding shafts that have to used with moulded flights (L-Style / Fit / Clic / Stealth), and while the L-Style can be used with folded flights, I would need to punch/cap it, something I also want to avoid. The Fit slim profile has different angles for different length shafts!  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Almost all of Unicorn shafts are out, as I looked at the very carefully, and the angle of the shaft shoulder is different. They are more like the alloy ones, so that's out for me. And so are the Target Power series (wrong angle). Besides, they are too heavy for my intended use.

The only one I found so far is the Harrows Quiver, but the shoulder has a steeper angle, but that might work as well: https://d3jn02yb4s0c78.cloudfront.net/me...quiver.jpg

The shoulder's way too long and broad though.

Actually the older Unicorn Aliflex or Aliflex II could be ok, but availability in UK online shops might be a problem, as well as price.

Oh well, only ones other than Quivers or Unicorn JetStems I could think of.

You could try slicksticks/ sideloaders if you're into that?

I checked out Unicorn. Almost all of their shafts have a shoulder that's a bit too long, and the most affordable two-part alloy slicks are heavy at 1.29g, half a gram more than I'd like. Also, 1.50 GBP ex VAT ... I'll consider it joeriw96! Could be a viable alternative.  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Can't really tell for sure but the sideloaders shoulder seems to be only slightly longer than the L-styles? They are cheaper too. https://www.dartscorner.co.uk/index.php?...4_479_1608

I ordered me some earlier today and I could compare the two for you when they arrive, hopefully by the end of the week.

The X Ray Side Loaders actually look like it has a very slightly shorter shoulder, but it only come in short. i need Medium.

No worries me8! Don't want to trouble you. I just did an overlay of the Sidewingers you recommended and the L-Style. The Bull's is longer, but only slightly so.

Could you see if the Sidewingers you ordered have that gaping wide hole where the flights go, and does it straighten out when you put the flight in? What's the alignment like (when you get them)?  Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

And the fact that I have to use molded flights, which I don't want to. Besides, the dimensions of the shoulder increases the longer the shaft gets.

My stems arrived, here is the comparison pic. The shoulder is indeed slightly longer (shoulder stops at the point)

The gap looks worse in this pic than in real life, not bothering me at all. They do have a tighter fit than unicorns sliksticks which is nice.
