This is a review of the Gary Anderson Phase 2 24g darts from Unicorn.
I got these from Puredarts.co.uk they cost £27.98 CLICK HERE
They are a 90% tungsten dart and come in a cardboard box, inside is a luxury midi wallet with the 3 darts comprising the barrels, aluminium shafts and Gary Anderson Signature flights in standard shape. Thankfully there is also rubber "o" rings fitted to the alloy stems which helps to keep them securely fixed to the barrels.

The wallet is a nice addition to have and has enough space to store a few extras such as more flights or stems or grip wax etc.
As you can see in the pics below the darts have a scalloped section which has a micro grip pattern, the front of the barrels are ringed with a tapered nose then at the rear is a smooth signature section with a few more grooves and another small smooth bit towards the shaft. The grip level of the front is only a low level grip and the scallop is about a medium level. They are a nice looking dart and not as thick as I first thought.

The barrels are very closely weight matched:

The length is longer than I expected at 52mm but from the pics I seen before I thought they were thicker than I found, I guess the scallop part may have an optical illusion affect Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

Balance point of barrel only, as you can see it is slightly front weighted:

With the supplied set up it moves to the centre:

Balance point with medium, short and extra short stems:

With the barrels been 52mm I did my video review with some short Condor stems/flights fitted. If you watch the video my darts are mostly landing horizontal, when I used the supplied set up with the medium alloy stems they were drooping down like this:

I compared the supplied stems with my medium deflectagrip stems and they are a fraction longer:

Also the flights did not seat as far into the alloy stems as they do into the nylon stems and that made it feel like I was throwing a much longer dart that what I am used to, so the short stem set up worked best for me with these darts. My grip with these darts:

I did try holding the dart where the scallop is as you will see in the video but it just felt too strange for me, although it is possible I may have got used to it but its not my natural grip.
I do think these dart will suit either type of grip though, whether its front or centre. They are a nice quality dart and fly much better than I was expecting although I think they are still a touch long for me. Value wise they are a good buy at £27.98 as they come with the nice wallet but you may want to swap out the alloy stems for some nylons.
Overall I think these are a respectable 8/10 Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
