Just wanted to share my doubles routine practice.
Round the board it the basis for all these routines, and you can do in long/short sessions depending on what time you have or want to invest.
1.
Round the board up and down (starting 20 - 1 and bull and then up 1 - 20 and then bull)
2.
Round the board hitting each double at least two times in a row (then progress to the next one, starting 20 - 1 and bull)
3.
Round the board have 3 darts each for a double if you hit progress to the next. Missing three darts you go back one.
For instance:
Hit double 20 first dart, double 19 second dart, miss double 18, next three darts are on double eightteen, when not hit, go back to 19 with three new chances. Winmau Steve Beaton is on youtube with this one also.
Nice routine gets a lit of pressure on yourself.
4.
Round the board taking a number for how many times you have to finish starting at 40. For instance 5 times (or 3 if you have less time, 10 if you have more time), miss double 20 you still have a chance to finish 20 on double 10. If you hit it, you finished 40 (count 1). Last dart on tops (when hit, total hit count is 2). When missed start at 40 again. If you miss the double 10 you still have 10 left so try to hit double 5. If hit, count 1. If not hit go back to 40 again when retrieving your darts. After hitting the desired number of finishes go to 19, 18, 17 and so on.
Great way to practise finishing the lower numbers.
Will post some more other practise routines of other things later.
Let me know what you think of it!
