Darts for rear grip - rear grippers post your faves in here

I bought a set of Trina Gulliver darts and was surprised to find that my grip moved from it's normal front/mid position to the rear. I've never gripped any dart back as far as I am with these but it just feels right. FWIW these are the shorter, 48mm, 25g model. For some reason I don't understand the 23g model is over 50mm. So for now I'm a proud to be rear gripper. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

That is interesting, I have not had a straight barrel overly impact my grip position, yet. As I continue to learn which specifications work best for me, I’m finding barrels shorter than 45mm can cramp my three finger grip. I don’t get favorable results if I’m gripping the stem / barrel connection.
I'm really liking these Colonial darts, well to be honest they are my design Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. but a very nice scallop at the rear and very long tapered barrel

When I throw lefty, I use a rear grip. The Harrows Verve has that little shark grip section near the back and my thumb indexes nicely off of that. With a set of medium aluminum shafts, the balance is very nice.

I've been using these Monster Gunner 4's lately and the grip to the rear has been superb for my style of throw. I find the grip to be maybe 7-8 held close to the stem. So far one of my favorite darts to throw. 43.3 x 7.3 @ 20.5g
I am still very new to darts, at least with being competitive and actually trying to get better. For years, would just play at friends houses or bars using the house darts. But now buying actual worthwhile darts and learning techniques, I can honestly say I am not sure what throwing position better suits me. I watch the pros on tv, and try and recreate throwing styles and grips, and fail miserably! In my mind, I would say im more mid to rear, but with each set of darts I own, I will attempt to throw each way and see how accurate I am, and also how the darts are landing. For me so far, super tacky and textured darts are my friend, but maybe due to my inexperience, it will become an enemy. I have a set of 26g Unicorn Phase 5 and they seem so smooth and I throw poorly.. But like I said, it is most likely ME that is the issue. I also have a 25g Harrows set, not sure the exact name, but are very tacky, and throw much better.
Mardle 24g
I just posted these in the ‘what darts do you use right now’ thread... but being a rear gripper, I’ll post them here too.
Too many darts had a smooth section at the end of the barrel, or not quite the grip i wanted so 22g customs, Adrian Lewis gen 2 rings all the way back. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images. Match darts - 22g Customs

If the length/feel works out a whole world of barrel designs open up. Wait, maybe I need to rethink this... Factory visit scheduled later this year.
I’m a rear gripper and the darts I use are the target Vapor 8 green version there perfect Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
