Fantastic set Mark, impossible to better, This the set listed on Ebay last week, where he wouldn't sell to the UK.

Thanks for sharing mate, have your 1st +1

I saw you win that one I was really surprised no one else bid, seems crazy that they bid higher for incomplete sets yet an as new set gets not interest weird!

I was torn about buying it since I already have a set. But seeing that it had the box and the warranty which I have not seen anyone have before - I had to have it.It really was a fair price considering. They belonged to a WWII veteran that passed away. He was stationed in Japan and took aerial photo's during the war. Having a little history about the original owner adds to the enjoyment of owning it.

Thats great and sad too, you should make up a card with the darts history and keep it with that set.

I have asked the seller to send me a picture of the guy so I can keep it with it. She sent me a copy of his obituary which is kind of creepy. He won three bronze stars. She said she would send me a couple of pictures he took during the war also the next time she digs them out.

He must have been getting on a bit then, so I wonder why he had a set like that unused did he run a darts store?

I doubt it. Maybe he played the game at some point. She had two other sets of his that were feathered Unicorns with chromed barrels. She had them on ebay starting out for $49.95. I told her there was noway she would get that much for them, they are not that special. She said he did collect a lot of neat things. Mostly into photography.

I see, I think its sad but at least they have gone to some one who will keep them for collecting reasons and not to sell on as a profit like some people do.

Another reason I had to have it. At first I wasn't going to bid on it because I already have a set. I know if the bidding was open to the UK you guys would have been all over it. It was to good to pass up. [/b]

Alert for all of you Variant fans. There currently is a set on ebay claiming to be new and unused. He is also claiming it comes with the original paperwork. I am a little leary of that. If you notice he is showing two pieces of paper. One of the instructions and the other showing the weight chart. On mine it is on one paper front and back. His also is in black ink and probably copied - he didn't cut the paper on the line very straight. It's listed as a Buy It Now at $199.95 or make an offer. Someone has an offer in. It does look like all of the weights are there. There should be 15 of each.

I have a complete set of Accudart Variants.  I am the original purchaser.  They have extremely light use as I did not throw them as well as my other darts.  I have the box in almost new condition, all the paperwork including the original warranty card with serial number, the darts with original points (points are even still like new).  All the foam pieces are still in the box like new.  All 45 of the weights are present.  I believe I have the original aluminum shafts, but not the flights.  However, the original clear zip bags for both the flights and the shafts are still in the box.  The shaft bag still has all 6 of the white plastic lock rings that were provided.  I’d imagine such a complete, lightly used set is rare.  Any ideas as to what they might be worth?
