Nice little leaflet - the bit on the right looks good as well - £1,000 back in 1930 was a lot of dosh, wonder how much it would be in today's money

Just goes to show how inflation has skewed things.    I remember when I was first employed as a teenager making $1.25 an hour back in 1965 which was minimum wage back then in the U.S.      Adjusted for todays pay, it works out to something in the $9.84 an hour range in todays era. Still not enough to make a living on and right about poverty level.
