Darts Buddy

I have an old set of Jim Pikes with feathers

The box as seen better days..the one with long bluey bamboo shapes on

I would like to recover it

Whilst car booting last year, searching a tin of bits and bobs

I came across a Jim pike dart searched further found the other 2 barrels

Asked price...£4 was the reply

Whist hunting for the Pike's, I had passed a Schofield Heavy ,then found the other 2

Again £4

Alas there was only the barrels

So I might going to put Rattan Canes in both, still pondering that one

Problem is the box paper ,I have made a box for the Schofield's,just want some 9mm ?????? cane to finish off

Had thought about doing them in hickory(quite popular around here in 60/70's) if I do not find any rattan.

Will make the Pike one's up with Rattan/Feathers,have not decided yet

Did he sell the rattan ones in the big box or confined them to the small blue one

Pike is the problem, does anyone know the name of the paper he used on the bluey one

Did he only sell them in that bigger coloured/bamboo style box (I have made the small schofield type Pipe  box)

Make it easier if he made, plain or dark blue would make it easy, then

I could have 2 different boxes to keep  them in

Hope someone can advise, and put me on the right road

All the Best

Don't know the name but some of the old Pikes is a kind of textured style but I had some very early Newstead that were in a plain cardboard style box with a whit label but the whole box was in bits so not much good.

I think the original ones were with canes and then it changed in the 60's but not 100 percent sure on the exact date of change.

The one I saw was just like the small Pike box but Leo Newstead's printing was in red

I have a set of his darts on a clear plastic lidded box, with Jim Pike Darts Ltd on the Plastic top

and a paper label "Leo Newstead Darts",they have feathers
