Got these some time ago, they look very much like Alan Evans darts, but I dont know if the wavy grip has been added afterwards or if they came like that, so not 100% sure if they are Evans darts. Dimensions are the same as a 22g set I used to have though:

no its not aggressive, as a strange feel to it actually, they are copper tungsten so that makes them feel nice but the grip adds its own unique feel too.

Hi mate and welcome to the forum, I am sure your right too, I know he used ringed darts. These are not knurled but actually have a ring pattern that looks to me like its been flattened, which is why I wonder if someone took the original darts and added the wavy style grip, guess I will never know the answer really. There seems to be a few darts from the 70's and early 80's that had the weird wavy grip pattern, I have a few in my collection on Flickr, but I have not seen it used in more modern sets.
You actually played with the great guy eh, thats awesome! you must have some stories to tell Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.

woohoo....finally managed to get back on here,i was fortunate to be in the team he played in for a short time, alone with some other old welsh pro players, and only had the privilege to see him a couple of times but the time i did i was so impressed with him,i watched him like a little kid watching a famous footy star lol,he was a bit of a moody guy probably due to his health, the last time i saw him he was walking down the local high street near me, then i heard of his passing a few months later, real shame, he will be missed.

I know now that these are not Alan Evans with a wavy pattern, I have found an old advert with the exact dart on, will get a pic of it as soon as I have chance.

Interesting grip all the same, I wonder if there are darts that have a spiral pattern from nose to tail like the effects in ballistics and if it would throw straighter for folks that spin there arrows?

I think there is darts out now with a spiral and I have some old Unicorn Lift Offs with a spiral.
These are not quite a spiral but they are shaped like a bullet, I think I may have to get some:

I reckon these are genuine Alan Evans having examined film of him playing they have exactly the same 11 grooves and the plain end section looks in proportion too. Also the machining where the shaft threads in looks spot on.

If you pause the video at 5:58 then have a look at the darts. To be honest though.............. its not ruled out that he (like taylor) has had many different sets made!
