These are 27g Copper Tungsten Willie Etheringtons.
I think he was the first Pro player to have his own named set of tungsten darts:

I like them Darren. Some of the old darts to me works of art.

the first tungsten sets were quite expensive too, nearly as much as £30 which was a lot in the early 70's

Nice - I've got a couple of sets of Etherington brass arrows in the collection, would love a set of tungsten ones as well

Well there should be more of them out there, I think when they first came out they sold well, but its strange that if so many sold these are the only set I have seen.

No, he lost 2-1 to Des Stabb, who was using brass darts and feather flights.

I knew I had his signature somewhere lol. He played in the Norfolk Invitation singles in 1978 alongside such other names at the time John Lowe, Bobby George, Keith Deller, Bill Leonard, Stefan Lord and Tommy O'Regan - some of them signed the back including Willie (top left below Stefan Lord)

Welcome to the forum, have you got some without the knurl?
maybe the owner of them had the knurl added later, do they look the same if the knurl was not present?

I just won a couple of sets of copper tungstens on ebay - do you reckon the ones on the left are Etherington's? They look similar to the pics in the first post other than the knurling and was the main reason I bought them lol
