Was searching you tube and came across this I don't know if it's been put on before. So feel free to delete it

Would love to see how anyone would manage to hit a score of 100 (or any other even number) playing Bob's 27

It'll certainly do that, it's a great little practice game

Not mentioned in the video but most people play it to rules where your attempt ends if the score goes negative, this helps put a bit more pressure on some of the shots which is good for match practice on doubles

Here's the practice routine used by me and my friends:

Give yourself 2 hours and fire away at the treble 20 only. The goal is to hit 3 180's, 10 140's, 30 100's or 40 60's, whichever comes first.

Beginners will not be able to finish on time, good players will finish by completing the 100's before completing the 60's and even better players will finish by completing the 140's even before they complete the 100's and 60's.

Nobody in our club would complete this drill with 180's
Not all hunks become Hollywood Movie Stars. Some simply stays cool and become Darters.

i do this a lot when warming up or taking a break from the flight school routines.

i have only completed this like 3 or 4 times. 1 time i completed it and had like 15 points at the end. the other times i had well over 100 at the end.

the only part of this drill that i don't like is that the first 3 doubles i ahbor throwing at, even though they are probably the most important (and that's probably the reason why you SHOULD do this drill regardless of how far you can get). the beauty of it is that just about every time you will put yourself into a situation where you are hanging on the edge of losing and need at least one double to keep going which simulates the pressure you might feel in a real match.

when i first found this drill i wasn't good at all on doubles and it just wasn't fun getting to 6 or 7 every time and having to start over. so i just changed it to suit my game and i just gave myself two throws at each number. usually if you throw 3 darts and miss then you will probably hit or at least get close with the next three. it was my goal at one time to use the same drill but end my turn if i ever hit inside the double box as i have a bad habit of being a little too aggressive at doubles, which is a good thing sometimes and a bad thing most times.

My practice routine goes like this:
First 20 minutes I just throw the darts, aiming for the big trebles (20,19,18,17).This warms up my arm.
Then I play 5 rounds of Bob's 27.
After that I go to checkouts, from 81 to 101,trying to finish in 6 darts.
This routine takes about hour and a half. Guests cannot see images in the messages. Please register at the forum by clicking here to see images.
