Practice routine
I've currently been using Gary Anderson practice trebles. As well as practicing doubles (16.8.4.2)
And know I finally beat my uncle. Practice does pay. The first time I've ever beaten him. White wash 5 legs. Well happy just over 50 avg I know that's not great but it's steady progress

try to keep you darts straight. Practice a lot of grouping. That helps

i start my practice always with grouping.

100 bulls ( bull is a easy target to get you darts straight) 25 =1 point 50= 2 point
After that i do always. 1000 point on the 20's without missing a dart on the 20's if i hit a 1 or 5 or a bounce out i start over again on 0. try to break records for youself with this game.

example:

First throw 100
Second throw 60 = 160 total
and next throw i smash the first dart in the 5. and start the next throw on 0. score of this game is 160. you practice youself to get 3 darts in on target.

1000 on the twenty? That's 50 twenties in a row, no missing. How often do you manage to do that?

I am assuming that you're not a pro, but I could be wrong.....even Steve Beaton says just 20 at 20's, where dbl=tpl = 1 and miss = start over.

Thanks a lot I will try that routine defo not a pro hahaha so when you do the 20s what dose d20 or t20 get or do you start over thanks for the tips

With Steve Beaton's 20 in the 20, D20=T20=S20=1 of 20. You can score 400 = 20 x 20 and finish it.

With rvh199's routine, you have 600 points to go!

for the pro's is 1000 +

my record is 700. normal target is 500 for my. it's to practice that you darts get straight. its a great game. my game improve with 100 bulls and 500-1000 points on the twenty's

my level of play is 21-15 darts. before this i was on a 60 -65 avg. 24-21 darts

When i practice i like to keep it interesting which means lots of different routines and games.First off i will start off just throwing at the twenties ,(10-15 mins) then play the thousand game which is simply throwing at the twenties 100,,140,,180 etc and each time adding your score up to try and get to a thousand. And the first time you hit a five or a one you stop the game and go back to zero and start again. Very good for keeping your arm straight and throwing the dart straight…..

OK 500... phew! I thought 1000 was wicked high....

Seems that you've made a nice improvement!

With me I run very hot, very cold. I have a similar average to yours at the start, but it's made of very high scores and very low ones... not consistently banging the 20 wedge.

I average around 47 to 51 . And finish game around 36 to around 42 darts thrown. I will give all these a try after work I'll try the bull routine first. Thanks for all you help and in put

Yes I'm same on my game other day I stated of with 100. Then 85. I was feeling it then got best number in darts 26 3 times then I hit 140. Like you say hot and cold.

Hey up.
I've just done 100 darts at bull 25=1pt 50=2products
After 63 darts I was on 23 pts..
After 81 darts I was on 33 pts
After 100 darts I got 43 pts.
Really liked this routine wanted to get to 50 pts but 43 I'm happy with... now to try the other routine
