I would guess they were made for Watney's by Unicorn - they are Golden Match darts - I've got a set of Worthington ones

Ha! Yes spot on. Just looked for markings inside the little wallet and it does indeed say Unicorn Golden Match. What period would they be I wonder?

Thanks for the info mc1958. I keep putting questions up and you guys keep answering them. I have never heard of Unicorn Golden Match. Picked them up for £4 in a second hand shop as a curio for my collection.

I may be well out on the date to be honest, that's pure guesswork.
Patrick Chaplin - Dr Darts - may be able to give you a more accurate answer. As well as being a darts historian I believe he is also very knowledgeable about the brewing trade
